The Treo 750v will lose “v” (for Vodafone) and will be sold in USA simply as Treo 750. We were first to reveal (in a a related podcast) that CEO of Palm already informed some people that Treo 750 will be on sale in USA yet this year. And now that FCC approval is ready, sales can start soon…

Lack of Wi-Fi in Treo 750 is an embarassing ommision for European market where unlimited flat rate mobile Internet is not available, but in USA it is not so important because all wireless carriers in USA offer unlimied mobile Internet access… However lack of HSDPA will not be acceptable and since Cingular has just rolled out HSDPA (fast version of UMTS) network in USA and T-Mobile USA has some reservations against Palm smartphones, the only logical conclusion is that Treo 750 will go on sale in USA with HSDPA support pre-installed. HSDPA upgrade for Treo 750v that is on sale now in Europe is still not available officially although Vodafone is operating HSDPA networks since March 2006 already…

Finally one must remember that while in Europe Treo 750 (Treo 750v to be precise) is sold at high price as high end business phone, the same phone will be sold in USA as cheap mass market smarphone!
